Our Magnificent Resort History - Promenade through the Eras

Take a virtual tour through the historic eras of the magnificent resort history of Douglas County. Since the beginning of our settlement, the lakes area has been an attraction for business, visitors and vacationers. From the Grand Hotel Era to the Mom and Pop resorts, Douglas County has had it all. This virtual tour will include vintage lakes-area maps, tidbits of fishing guide stories, lake "legends" and a time to share vacation tales.Instructor Rachel Barduson is an area historian and contributor to many area publications.
